December Meeting - Mysteries
The December meeting presentation will be on Family Mysteries. We will first share homework from the November meeting which was to write about a family heirloom or tradition.
The homework assignment for January will be to write about a family mystery (solved or unsolved) or to write about a a mysterious record you've found that you can't get out of your mind (even if it's not about your own family).
At the end of our December SIG meeting we were discussing some of the references the Tuesday night speaker gave. I wanted to provide a link to his cheat sheets: https://genealogybargains.com/free-cheat-sheets/.
About half way down there is a cheat sheet titled: "Documenting Family Stories in Writing." Once you open that PDF file you will see a link to his Word Doc Form: https://genealogybargains.com/form-familystory-doc (and in a few other formats) to make it easy to provide a bit more source information on your family history stories. This is NOT required for our SIG homework assignments, but may be good inspiration.
