Our November topic was heirlooms (or traditions). The homework for the December meeting is to
Write a short piece about a family heirloom or meaningful tradition.
•Describe the heirloom (or include a photo) or include a photo celebrating the tradition.
•Write the story of how it came into the family (if known). If unknown, capture the family’s guesses.
•Who has it now or who is the facilitator of the tradition today.
•Why it matters to you or your family.
If you don't have family heirlooms or traditions you can write about an object or tradition you hope to pass on to future generations.
The December 10 meeting will begin with sharing homework stories written by members and then move into the December presentation topic, followed by the homework assignment to share at the January meeting.
